He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina before completing advanced training through a general practice residency at West Virginia University and oral and maxillofacial surgery internship and residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
During his residency, Dr. Nimmich served as Chief Resident and received the Dr. Sigurds Krolls Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Excellence Award. He finds the greatest fulfillment in delivering immediate, meaningful improvements in patients’ comfort and quality of life through precise surgical care and a collaborative team approach.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nimmich enjoys spending time outdoors and with family and friends. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and wakeboarding, and spends much of his summer on Lake Murray. He is also a passionate college football fan and enjoys following both the Ole Miss Rebels and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
Giving back to his community is also important to Dr. Nimmich. He supports organizations and causes including the Gamecock Club, K9s for Warriors, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital, reflecting his commitment to serving others both inside and outside of patient care.
