From consultation to the OR room, Dr. Pham was very pleasant, professional, well-mannered, kind, and knowledgable. He was patient and never rushed me when I had questions. It is clear that he is passionate about he does, loves his job, and is committed to providing the best outcome for his patients. I also like that he treats his colleagues nicely as well.
On the day of surgery, prior to the OR, Nurse Tina (who I love sooo much) brought me to a room and gave me fluids and told me about the medications I would receive during surgery. Then I met Dr Pham who reminded me of what was going to be done to my jaw during surgery, answering any questions I had. Finally, I met with the sweet anesthesiologist who let me ask questions about how being nasally intubated works! That was very comforting because you can ask all of them questions before you get to the operating table!
I was very impressed when I went to the operating room afterwards because before I was knocked out by anesthesia, I remember that everyone was working well together and knew what to do. They had their own rhythm going on and it was cool to see! Natalie and the other ladies in the OR were so sweet as they were prepping me and I was not nervous whatsoever! This was my very first surgery that I've ever had as well so I am grateful to everyone for making me feel comfortable during my first experience.
For petite people like me, I went into this surgery at 5'1" and 92 pounds so I was a little worried about that, but they assured me everything would be fine and they were right! Definitely ask your doctor with any concerns you have.
To wrap up, I am just grateful for them. I have waited years to get this surgery and at 31 years old I finally did it. I remember being so bummed when I tried to do it around 23 and it didn't work out, but now I am glad it didn't because I had the best doctor and staff to take care of me here at this practice! When I woke up enough from the anesthesia after the surgery, I immediately noticed how well I can breathe now which amazes me! My bite also looks so nice and it's never looked this nice and straight in my life! Now at 5 days post op, I can drink from a cup without having to use a syringe which makes eating so much more efficient (I tilt the cup and let the contents fall in the opening of my mouth)! My tongue is finally out of prison as it rests against the roof of my mouth rather than my upper front two teeth, and I can feel both sides of my cheeks now (no numbness)! I can also feel the area under my chin too! I am very happy with how I am healing so far and I'm grateful that my facial swelling has been pretty minimal all things considered!
I also have a Nurse Line so I am able to text Nurse Tina with anything I need, and she is very sweet in her response and has gone above and beyond this entire time! I also wanted to thank Alyssa Sadler, their major surgery coordinator because every time I spoke to her on the phone, she was very pleasant. My follow up appointments since with Dr. Pham have been great as he wants to make sure you are doing well through the healing process, and Natalie from the OR came to visit me at my follow up appt to see how I was doing which was so thoughtful of her! I also love how well Dr. Pham and my awesome orthodontist, Dr. Jernigan have communicated this entire time leading up to my surgery (and beyond). It's evident they have a great relationship and work well together!
Come here for your medical needs whether it be surgery or something else and don't forget to ask for Dr. Pham and his team because they actually care about you and your needs here, and they're a super fun group! Thank you everyone for choosing to go into the medical field! The medical field needs more people like ya'll!
On surgery day, I was very anxious, but the nurses were incredibly kind and helpful in calming my nerves. Everyone in the office treats you like family, which made such a difference in my experience. The front desk staff were always welcoming, friendly, and professional.
What stood out most was that nothing ever felt rushed. You can tell the entire team is passionate about what they do and genuinely cares about their patients. Not once did they make me feel like I was just another number. Every interaction felt personal, and I always felt heard, respected, and cared for.
My recovery has gone much better than expected, with minimal pain after surgery. I also want to give a special thank you to Ms. Rebecca, who was so sweet and reassuring when answering my post-op questions and concerns. Her kindness meant a lot during recovery.
If you’re looking for an oral surgeon who truly cares about their patients, Dr. Pham is the best. Thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a stressful experience so comfortable and positive!
