Dr. Lisa Hood is an experienced certified registered nurse anesthetist with more than 20 years of perioperative anesthesia expertise. She is dedicated to providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care and is deeply committed to ensuring every patient feels comfortable, supported, and at ease throughout their surgical experience.

She began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC Charlotte, followed by a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia through the Advocate Health and UNC Charlotte program. She later completed her Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice at Texas Wesleyan University, further strengthening her commitment to advanced anesthesia practice and clinical excellence.

Dr. Hood provides comprehensive anesthesia services for pediatric and adult patients across a full range of procedures, from routine oral surgery to complex orthognathic and reconstructive cases. She strives to ease patient anxiety and create a calm, reassuring environment from preoperative assessment through recovery.

In addition to her clinical practice at Carolinas Center for Oral and Facial Surgery, Dr. Hood serves as a clinical instructor for student nurse anesthesiologists, supporting the next generation of providers with her knowledge and experience.

She is a long-standing member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and remains passionate about advancing the field through ongoing education, research, and patient-focused care.
