Kelly McElroy, DDS

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Biography

Dr. McElroy was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania. She attended the College of William and Mary and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Neuroscience. She then attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine where she received her DDS. There she was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship with the US Army. Upon graduation, she was stationed at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. While there, she completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. During residency, she took a special interest in intraoperative navigation and published a case report outlining novel applications for the technology in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

After residency, she was stationed at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Newport News, Virginia and served as the sole oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Fort Eustis. While there she obtained board certification and became a diplomate with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Her interest in orthognathic surgery and temporomandibular joint surgery led her to pursue fellowship with Carolinas Center for Oral and Facial Surgery to further her training.

In her spare time, Dr. McElroy enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
