Dr. Nesbitt is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from Upstate New York. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University at Albany, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Dr.Nesbitt went on to obtain a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Dental Public Health from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he received the Bernard Goldstein Award for Academic Excellence. He completed his dental education at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) in Newark, NJ. While at RSDM he received numerous awards and distinctions including Deans List for academic excellence, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student Award, and the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award. After graduation, Dr.Nesbitt went on to complete a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where he was named chief resident for his final year of training. He was trained in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has particular interests in implant dentistry, dentoalveolar surgery, trauma surgery, and orthognathic surgery.
With a passion for the outdoors, Dr. Nesbit enjoys spending his free time hiking, kayaking, fishing, and traveling with his wife, Kate and their dog, Dane.
