Lexington County’s Oral Health Experts
Our team of experts at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery & Dental Implants focuses care around a team-centered approach, ensuring our patients are comfortable and informed every step of the way.
Why Choose a Specialist?
A general dentist’s training stops after completing dental school, whereas an oral surgeon must complete an additional 4–6 years of specialized training prior to beginning practice. They are the only dental professionals qualified to administer all forms of anesthesia and undergo training to diagnose and treat all oral health conditions. Oral surgeons like Dr. Pham perform more complex surgical procedures beyond simple tooth extractions that involve the soft tissues of the face, head, neck, mouth and jaws. This includes orthognathic surgery, cleft lip and cleft palate treatment, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, and more.
Dr. Haigler is an orofacial pain specialist, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and preventing pain disorders of the head and neck. To become an orofacial pain specialist, additional training and certifications in the management of these specialized conditions are completed. Dr. Haigler specializes in treating patients with TMD (TMJ disorder), headaches, sleep disordered breathing (obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea), bruxism (clenching/grinding), neuropathic pain, and other oral pathologies.
