About Dr. Sarav Patel
Originally from Michigan, Dr. Sarav Patel was inspired to pursue oral and maxillofacial surgery because of its unique integration of dentistry and medicine. He finds tremendous reward in being able to make meaningful changes in his patients’ lives, often in as little as a day.
Dr. Patel earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach, where he attended on a full-tuition President’s Scholarship and graduated summa cum laude in just 3 years. He stayed in California for another 4 years at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received both the Regent’s and Dean’s Scholarships—the highest academic honors in the University of California system.
Dr. Patel was then selected to complete world-class training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, which brought him across the country to Boston for 6 years. It was there that he undertook extensive additional training in Adult and Pediatric Anesthesia, Trauma Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Otolaryngology in order to ensure that his patients are always in good hands. During this time, Dr. Patel also earned his MD from Harvard Medical School. In his final year, he had the honor of serving as Chief Resident at both Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Patel joins Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery eagerly committed to providing the highest standard of patient care in a safe and comfortable manner, utilizing the most up-to-date technology. He considers it a privilege to practice alongside like-minded colleagues who are knowledgeable in the field.

Personal Interests
Dr. Patel loves spending time with his beautiful wife and chasing after their young son. Together, they enjoy taking in all that Charlotte and the Carolinas have to offer.
